Olaf and Christoph have deep appreciation of photography as a creative medium. This mutual love led to the creation of the Friday Rewind Exhibition Series. Friday Rewind showcases free projects of commercial photographers. What makes those photographers tick? Why did they start with photography in the first place? Now they have a space to show their work!

Friday Rewind Exhibitions became an overnight success in Hamburg’s media scene. Since the shows are only up for one evening, it gets crowded quickly with sometimes hundreds of photographers, stylists, art directors, assistants and other interested folks showing up for the evening.

The horrible living conditions and threats to their lives and well-being that people with Albinism have to endure on a daily basis are well documented but seeing it in person moved Christoph and Ulf deeply.

Travelling the remote areas of Malawi Christoph and his journalist friend Ulf Pape spent weeks portraying people with Albinism. For various reasons Christoph chose a large format Linhof 4x5 Technika camera and analogue film as well as small backdrop set for his stunning images.

Each year professional cycling teams from all over the world flock to the island of Mallorca in search for sunny riding conditions during Northern Europe’s grim winter months. Olaf was invited to spend a few days with Continental Team Lotto Kernhaus to photograph the riders during their practice camp. They did not find sunny conditions but suffered during long, cold and wet 200 km rides. Olaf was impressed by the cheerful mood, the comradery and the amount of food the rider devoured back at the hotel.
